Beers and Checkmates Jan 2026

The evening of January 9, 2026, saw chess players and enthusiasts come together at Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain for some beers and chess. It was our first gathering at the location and was well-attended. A good number of players were from JP Chess but there were also some new faces who had heard about the event on Instagram, Facebook and the MACA website.

Thanks go to Alex C, for organizing and running the event with assistance from Adam. We hope to run again at a future date.
